Harrah's Las Vegas | Bill's Gambling H... | Bellagio | The Mirage | Bally's
Seems to have downhill over the past few years. Incredibly noisy - both from fellow diners and from the casino. Just average now. There are far better places to go.
Excellent meal, price fixe menu with caesar"s salad, rib eye ( wife had free range chicken, which was awesome), and bananas foster cake. Split a bottle of cakebread Chardonnay. The food was prepared perfectly and was quite tasty. The service was second to none. We truly enjoyed our dining experience and would love to return on our next trip out to vegas. This has become one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas, along with Blue Ribbon Sushi and Del Monico steakhouse .
Bison with carrot purée. Unfuckingbelievable. And I NEVER post on these sites.
I had one night on my own in Vegas while there on business. Based on Five Hundy's recommendation (which was backed up by many other sources) I decided to experience "the best burger in Vegas". It turned out to be the best burger I have ever had. (second best is George's in Atlanta) As a self proclaimed burger lover since the age of five, not a week goes by that I do not think of a return visit. If the burger was given this much attention, I can't imagine anything bad could ever exist on the menu.
Totally agree with Al. I dined her solo while on business based on Five Hundy's recommendation and I was not disappointed. Easily the best burger on the strip. It came out all dressed up like it was going on a hot date and I was its suitor! Complete with silver trays of ketchup and mustards. And did I mention the super-fresh buns lightly painted with just a stroke of butter? Service is outstanding (I sat at the bar). Check it out.
Easily one of best lounge menus on the strip. If you're looking for a place to dine solo while on business, check this place out between 5-7 or so, step to the bar area and order from the apps menu and have a drink. Maybe the best hamburger on the strip, and that's saying a lot. The menu here, especially the apps, changes OFTEN. Service appreciates solicitations for advice, ask them what they would reccomend on the menu and then ask them to pair that with wine or cocktail.
I've never experienced dinner service here, but would love to.
The best high end lounge food on the strip? It's in the Mix/Mandarin strata for sure. Freshness from the kitchen is apparent.
Highly Recommended.
OK, I must admit I was a little afraid of trying this place. I backed out of a reservation for my dad's birthday over a bad review. I was second-guessing myself when I was thinking of the reservation for my birthday (well, the day after, but I celebrated) tonight.
However, all my doubts were thrown out the window once a friend and I went into Bradley Ogden and began to take in the casually elegant ambience. This place is so luxurious, yet so comfortable! And yes, the same goes for the food.
The breads were fresh and interesting. The sourdough tasted like the best I could find in San Francisco. The blue corn muffin was perfectly soft and sweet and delectable. The butter complemented both breads quite well.
We were then served an amuse bouche of shrimp ceviche. Since I'm a vegetarian I couldn't really dig into it, what I could taste seemed refreshing. My friend really seemed to enjoy the small bite of it.
And now for the appetizer. The Maytag Blue Cheese (Mini) Souffles were simply divine! The cranberries, raisins, and candied pecans complemented the souffles quite well. The savory, the tart, and the sweet were brought together beautifully and made for fantastic flavors in this dish.
So what about the entree? I ordered the gnocchi, since it looked interesting. It was a potato gnocchi dish with shaved parmesan, shiitake mushrooms, broccolini, and parmesan foam. And yes, all these ingredients came together exquisitely! Not only did the dish look beautiful, but all the ingredients meshed perfectly. The gnocchi were tender, the veggies were cooked well, and the parmesan added some good tang.
After that great dish, I was ready for something sweet again. And when perusing the dessert menu, the bananas foster cake really stood out. So I ordered it. And I really enjoyed it! The cake was moist and tasty, while the vanilla ice cream was a refreshing complement and the bananas added a lovely fruity touch.
And finally, we were served a complimentary post-dessert sweet bite of butterscotch pudding. This really hit the high note for me, as it was sweet but still satisfying and a fabulous way to end a perfectly fabulous dinner.
The food was fabulous. The service was superb. The wine list was wonderful. And the atmosphere was so charming and cozy and comfortable and still elegant that it was easy for me to forget that I was in the middle of one of The Strip's biggest and baddest (as in badass good!) casinos! What's not to love about Bradley Ogden?
Went there as a package with the Bette Midler show. Great menu, fine food and service while staying casual and friendly.
A true experience and foodie's dream.
I ate at Bradley Ogden a couple years ago and was really looking forward to it again. I ordered the Kobe style beef, and it was a real disappointment. I have had good Kobe beef in Japan, at Per Se in New York, and at Bradley Ogden in past years. It is uniformly tender and delicious, with fat marbling so fine you cannot see it. The Kobe beef at Bradley Ogden in January 2006 had thick veins of fat and even veins of tough tissue. Lots of other way in which they no longer measure up to the best restaurants in Vegas. I suspect that Mr. Ogden got bored with his Las Vegas restaurant and let it slide. Too bad.
Food was unique and tasted super, a new must anytime we go!
After reading about this place being overpriced and/or boring, we still decided to eat there. And it was a total treat - the highlight of our weekend in Vegas. For once, we were away from the glitter of Vegas to a classy dining room with impeccable service and perfect food. If you don't mind spending $100/person or more on an incredible dinner, then you should try it. It's all about quality, and this place is quality. The lamb rack is a winner, the blue cheese souffle is a winner, the foie gras is a winner, the artichoke soup is a winner, and the desserts are as much fun to look at as they are to eat. A good, reasonably priced wine list, etc. .
Boooooring
