Usually not a musical guy but this show was fun. Amazing set designs.

Amazing! and I hate musicals. The special effects are out of thus world. The opening scene is stunning. We're a young couple in our late 20s and we both loved it. The stage/theatre itself is stunning. Of course, the chandelier is nuts. It's the main spectacle. As far as seating, we were in the grand circle which is front and center. It was cool, but honestly seats further back wouldn't have been a bad idea because you'll be able to see from a wider angle versus looking straight up to see the chandelier. The only thing I didn't like was about 5% of the tunes were slow. Got bored for a few minutes but the rest was awesome. Between Cirque's "O" and this one, I'd say unlike the action of O. BUT, Phantom must be tied for best show in Vegas. It was amazing. Go see it!!!

Loved this little joint. Decent enough fare at a very reasonable price ($1.00 margaritas and beers., $2.00 tacos....need I say more). Not much for atmosphere but it was cheap and easy.

Wonderful! I'd see it again! I loved the music...

This was a fantastic show w great effects and set! & Im not usually a fan of musicals. I highly rec a balcony seat for a great view. Only negative was bright, sometimes blinding pyrotechnics. Otherwise fabulous.

My wife had always wanted to see phantom in London but we never did so we booked to see the Vegas version. It was fantastic with all the special effects. The chandelier was awesome. And the theatre was out of this world.

The show was absolutely fantastic!

5 Stars Jaclyn April 04, 2010

Our seats were Q29 and 30 right under the chandelier and we used a coupon code I found for $50 off each ticket.

I have seen this performance in NYC and Chicago but this version flows far better. I was hoping in this one I might like Raoule, but no, I still think he was a macho jerk. I mean he saves Christine’s red scarf when they were kids and that entitles him to a life commitment after being away for decade or so? At least the phantom had money, artistic talent, and some serious engineering ability. Probably some really good bottles of wine in that labyrinth too.

But I digress.

Of course the effects and the theater are stunning and the actor who played phantom was phenomenal. I do want to mention there are a few scenes with gun-fire, firecrackers, and lightning for anyone who might be sensitive to that. My husband has been singing the soundtrack to me since that night and he claims it as his favorite Vegas show.

I really enjoyed this show, especially being the first time ever seeing the Phantom show. The theatre and stage is way over the top (not a big suprise in Vegas) and is beautiful to see....40 million dollars was spent just on this theatre, just for this production, and it is evident when you see the show.

If you are a fan of opera or musicals, definitely go see this show, as the performers and singers are top notch, very impressive cast.

If you can, sit in the middle of the theatre in the "golden circle" area to experience the full effect of the falling chandelier! They had some great special effects, and made for a story well told. Bravo, cast of Phantom!

Not being of fan of broadway style shows, I went with my wife for her birthday and must admit... Took my breath away!! Great cast, sets, effects and music. A must see in sin city!!!!

4 Stars Sean July 24, 2009

Way better than I thought, a must!

5 Stars Abed Nader May 10, 2009

We it and make sure you are sitting under the chandelier. The show was everything I expected and more. They really know how to bring the phantom to life.

4 Stars Shelano April 26, 2009

In our party, one of us had seen the original London and the other had seen the original broadway production. We were a bit disappointed. The chandelier was somewhat lame. If you had never seen it, you wouldn't know any better. The story/music is still amazing.

4 Stars Big Time April 16, 2009

I am very far from a theatre lover, however, I must admit, I thought this show was very good, and this was an excellent investment, well worth the money spent. The theatre itself is very old school, they had somebody escort me to a disclosed elevator just to get me to the bathroom. Pretty cool, the elevator person explained that's how they built old opera houses back in the day.

5 Stars Matt&Cas March 28, 2009

Great show and amazing sets and effects. Bar is also very reasonably priced. A must see while in vegas

5 Stars Robert B January 13, 2009

This production is great. The ensemble is topnotch. Well worth the price of admission.

5 Stars Bob January 07, 2009

A worthwhile alternative to Cirque. Show flowed well. Sets and special effects better than when I saw it on Broadway. Shouldn't disappoint.

5 Stars Bob from Houston January 01, 2009

The theater and the set were worth the price of admission alone. The show Is 95mins long which I found was about right even if shorter than the original production. Good fun and family friendly. Special effects were awesome.

3 Stars Karen November 09, 2008

I was a little dissapointed. I much preferred the broadway production. I did not like that it was cut up to shorten. Which came down to costing me about a hundred and twenty Canadian dollars an hour. The cast just were not as good as the new york cast and the phantom was a bit weak.

5 Stars Trevor October 23, 2008

Absolutely amazing show! Made a phantom fan out of me. Riviting music and atmosphere is complimented by intense effects and stage prescence. A must see!

0 Stars Jeff C. October 01, 2007

A great “show” version of a classic Broadway hit. I have seen the original in New York and found this performance to be much more enjoyable. I impressed by the theater which makes you feel like you are in the actual opera house. My entire group was also very happy to sit through a much shorter production. They have cut out a lot of the junk and made it a shorter show with just the best songs and no intermission. The stage was also much more elaborate with better sets then the original.

ONLY WARNING: If you are sensitive to loud noises and bright flashes in a dark room you might need to think about taking some precautions.

I have seen Phantom in London a half a dozen times, in Dallas and now in Las Vegas. This is my favorite show of all time and after seeing it at the Venetian I was really impressed and we saw it again last month. The theater is beautiul and the special effects add so much. They have kept everything about the London Theater (Her Majesty's) and added what only Las Vegas innovation can add, it has dazzle and pop without being cheap and garrish!

The BEST PHANTOM.....EVER, SUPERB CAST a rally special expeience. I would like to see more shows like this in Las Vegas.

This is a difficult production to perform no matter who the cast is, so complete those with no knowledge of Phantom will need to pay serious attention. Most of the action is easy to follow, but background and foreshadowing (especially long conversations in song form) may cause the newbies to get lost and have to double-check the internet later for more information on the story.

You're paying top-flight ticket prices similar to any Strip flagship production, mostly for the human talents on display. There is some stagecraft work involving the chandelier although it's dramatic sequence has been altered due to a lack of intermission and that's all there is for special effects. You also get an actual orchestra in a period when some large productions are depending more and more on pre-recorded music.

The cast is very good and there's a few characters I felt were cast even better than the incredible San Francisco production that ran for years in the 90s. However, the one out of two Phantoms we saw was regularly reaching for notes that seemed just barely within his vocal range which left me concerned for his future.

Rated Impressive. I can't give it the outstanding because I still liked the SF production better and this re-tooled version of Phantom seems to have more in line with the recent film than the musical it was based on.

To post a rebuttal to "this is an artsy show", what did you think you were going to see? Of course this is an opera, hense the title Phantom Of The Opera.

Anyway, I had the pleasure of taking in a Sunday 7pm performance at the end of Sept 2006. The theatre its self has a real "wow" factor to it, as it has every feel of a real Opera house. The performance its self was very good. The cast was great, and the sound is very clear. For Phantom the stage effects can make or break this show to a point. I must say the the decent, and the boat special effects were better than I have seen before.

For those of you who have been to Phantom you may have mixed feelings about this Las Vegas production. There is no intermission, and the show has a few parts cut out. However all the songs were still there and the cut parts would not be evident to anyone who has not see the show before.

My only conplaint was that many of the people at the performance were dressed in t-shirts and shorts, and general "I just left the pool deck" attire which sort of wrecks the classy feel of a opera. As well there were a few childern that were talking during the performance. ( Again not the productions fault, why would you take a little kid to a 95min opera)

All in all I would attend again.

IF YOU LIKE FOOTBALL OR SPORTS, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. THIS IS AN ARTSY SHOW. MUSIC IS OPERA STYLE, DARK PRODUCTION.

LADIES LIKE IT USUALLY.

I SUGGEST MAMMA MIA, CELINE DION, OR JUBILEE OVER THIS ONE IF THE GUYS HAVE ANY SAY SO. SPECIAL EFFECTS ARE GOOD IN THIS ONE THOUGH, MUSIC IS SO DREARY THOUGH
